2012 New England
Gillette Stadium
Patriots 37 Bills 31
What a great time in Boston! We started the trip with a tour of the Sam Adams brewery and then went to Doyle's tavern (1st place to sell Sam Adams). We hit some great bars in downtown Boston including The Bell in Hand, Green Dragon, Jerry Remy's, Whiskey Priest, Sullivan's Tap, etc. We met up with childhood friend Chris and went to the North End for our favorite pizza at Regina's. Then it was Mike's Pastry for cannolis. We had a great tailgate with Garry's buddies at the game!
2013 San Diego
Qualcomm Stadium
Chargers 20 Broncos 28
Another fantastic trip! The weather in San Diego was perfect! We stayed at a house in Pacific Beach that was one block from the beach. From the rooftop deck equipped with propane fire pit we could see the ocean and sunsets. Pacific Beach had lots of bars and restaurants to walk to. Great pumpkin beer at the PB Alehouse! We also went kayaking in La Jolla and saw sharks and sea lions. A visit to Mount Soledad on Veterans Day weekend was very cool. We also went to the Gaslamp District for drinks at Croce's, Lucky Bastards, and several other places. We hooked up with about 50 of our newest friends for a great tailgate at the stadium: grilled wings, beef tenderloin, pork tenderloin sliders, meatball kabobs, homemade STC chili, burgers, beer, pumpkin pie, and more beer. Before heading to the airport we hit a great little place for breakfast off Mission Blvd called Olive Cafe which is owned and operated by Sarah. The STC is currently voting on naming her an honorary member of the Council. Leaving the 70 degree sunny weather and beach scene was difficult. We've already started talking about next year...
2014 Detroit
Ford Field
Lions 20 Dolphins 16
We went from San Diego last year to Detroit this year. But, it was another great trip! We decided to drive so we could pass through Cleveland and bring home our favorite beer: Great Lakes Christmas Ale (better known as Christmas Crack!). We stopped at the Great Lakes brew pub for lunch and a pint on our way to Detroit. We checked in to Caesars in Windsor Canada then went back to Detroit for a Red Wings game. Why Mike got a chili dog at Joe Louis Arena he'll never know! Although crossing back and forth across the border turned out to be more of a hassle than we thought, we still had a great time in both cities. We hooked up with some new friends from Windsor who really took care of us for the Lions tailgate and post game festivities. It would not have been nearly as much fun without Paul, Mike, and the girls. On Monday we toured Ford Field which was very cool. Then it was back to Cleveland to pick up our Christmas beer stash and spend some time with our dear friend Kate. Another one in the books!

What a great weekend! We took to the train to Penn Station in New York City and walked across the street to our hotel, the New Yorker. The STC gift was presented to the Council which was an awesome STC flag! We headed over to MetLife stadium for our Thursday night tailgate and experienced some high winds and rain. We still had a good time at the game despite the Bills awful uniform colors that night. Friday was spent exploring the city, going to the 911 Memorial and new World Trade Center, and hitting Lombardi's for pizza! Friday night we met up with John's brother in law and his wife for dinner at Grand Central Station and beers at an Irish bar (go figure). Back at the hotel Friday night we watched with sadness the news of the terrorist attacks in Paris. Saturday morning we had breakfast at the Tick Tock Diner then took the train down to Philadelphia. We rented an old row house near South and 4th which was walking distance to bars and two philly cheesesteak places John's Steaks and Ishkabibble's. Sunday was a great tailgate with Brian and his buddies before the game. The STC flag was flying high in Lincoln Financial as we watched the Eagles take on the Dolphins (and lose). After the game we walked to a nearby bar with live music and had a great time. Monday was a short train ride back to reality...
2016 Nashville
Nissan Stadium
Titans 47 Packers 25
Nashville was a blast! We rented a great little house and went to all the bars downtown (Acme, Crazy Town, Tequila Cowboy, Tin Roof, Honky Tonk Central, The Stage, The Second Fiddle, etc). We hit the Johnny Cash museum, the Goo Goo Shop, and lots of places with great food. Gameday was beautiful. We started at Acme and walked over the bridge to see the Titans crush the Packers (sorry to the tons of Packers fans who made the trip). Great music, good food, and great times!
